  • Superb original oil painting on board, depicting a view of sheep grazing in a shaded pasture, by the listed English artist Thomas W Holgate (1869-1953).
     
    Thomas Wood Holgate was born in Lancashire, and studied at The Royal academy in London. He was an exhibited artist who was also a talented singer and musician who became a Professor of Music. He painted both portraits and landscapes, and moved to Truro, Cornwall in the early 1940s.

    - Framed and ready to hang, in a bold, moulded gilt frame with  a dark trim
    - Painting size 36cm x 26cm (approx. 14 1/8 inches x 10 1/8 inches)
