- Quirky original oil painting on canvas, beautifully presented in a bold gallery frame, depicting a theatre actress, by the French artist Thomas Bossard (b.1971 ), this is an opportunity to own a classic example of this artist's work.Thomas Bossard was born in Poitiers, France, studied art in Lille and at Saint Luc School, Belgium, and initially worked in the theatre, creating stage sets for plays and operas. He was a porcelain artist at Limoges, France, before turning to painting as a profession in 2005, sighting artists such as Velasquez, Vermeer, and Rembrandt as his greatest influences. He creates paintings of, among other things, the theatre, portraying the humour and comical life behind the scenes, in his studio in Toulouse accompanied by another of his loves, classical music.
