£1,500.00Price
  • Superb, large original oil painting on canvas, depicting a view across the River Avon to Salisbury Cathdral in Wiltshire, with a boy sitting on the riverbank fishing, close to grazing sheep nearby, and the spectacular architecture of the Cathedral across the meadow beyond. This beautiful, original work is by the renowned English artist Stephen Park (b.1953 )

Stephen Park was born in Birmingham, England, and although he began painting at 12 years old, his real enthusiasm came as a 15 year old when he began painting landscapes and seascapes, having been influenced by Suffolk artist John Constable.  In 1980 he turned to wildlife art, which became a passion and led to a trip to Kenya in the late eighties to see the great African animals in their natural habit.  This experience contributed to the already high quality of his work, and the continued expansion of subjects, indluding both British wild and domesticated animals.  Today he enjoys international success and his paintings feature in collections across the globe.
