Large, rare limited edition print on canvas on board, depicting elegantly dressed racegoers at The Royal Ascot horse racing festival, enjoying champagne, beautifully presented in a gallery frame, this limited edition is entitled 'Champagne in the Shadows' and is by highly acclaimed English artist Sherree Valentine-Daines (b.1956 ).
Sherree Valentine-Daines was born in Effingham, Surrey, and began her professional career as a legal secretary in London, before following her love of art and studying at Epsom School of Art. Upon her graduation in 1980, she spent the summer in Cornwall, painting villages, harbours, beaches and people, and has gone on to become a globally successful artist. Her impressionist paintings are highly sought after and feature in the collections of many well known people, including members of the British Royal Family.
