  • Original oil painting on canvas, depicting a group of people pony trekking beside the lake at Tarn Hows in The English Lake District, Cumbria, by the English artist Ronald Moseley (b.1931 ).
     
    Ronald Moseley was born in Marple, Cheshire, and studied at both the Stockport College of Art and the Manchester School of Art. He completed two years of National Service and then went on to work in advertising, which took him to South Africa, where he lived for a number of years. It was during this time that he began to paint seriously, which led to various commissions for the World Wildlife Foundation. Upon his return to England he transitioned to painting horses and English rural life.
