This stunning work is entitled 'Zebra and Wildebeest' and is by the Australian artist Rolf Harris (b.1930 ).

 

The artist says of this work:

"At this stage in my painting life I was getting fed up with the fact that every wildlife image I saw had a bright green background. I started wondering what the effect would be if I used the complimentary colour - red - instead. I loved it! I'm very happy with the proportions and innocent look of the baby zebra."
