- Original watercolour painting, depicting the Spanish town of Casares in the Andalucia region of Spain, by the the English artist R. Martin Tomlinson (b.1945 ).- Signed lower leftRobert Martin Tomlinson was born in Barnoldswick on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border, and studied Fine Art at Lancaster. He spent a couple of years playing with a rhythm and blues band before teaching at Brathay Hall Outward Bound Centre on Lake Windermere, Cumbria. In 1971 he opened a gallery/artist's shop/framing business in Ambleside with his wife, and has been a full-time artist since the mid-eighties, working from his home studio in Ambleside. He has exhibited widely including at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, The Mall Galleries in London, the Frank Sabin Gallery in Piccadilly and the prestigious Royal Academy.- Signed and titled on the mount
