  • Original impressionist watercolour painting, depicting a view across an 'Extensive Landscape', by the Manchester artist Mary McNicoll Wroe (1861-1955).
     
    Mary McNicoll Wroe lived in Manchester, in the north of England, and studied at the Manchester School of Art. She became successful during the late 19th/early 20th Century, when she exhibited widely including at the prestigious Royal Academy in London.
