Lana Okiro was born in the countryside of Western Ukraine where she grew up on a farm.  She always had an interest in art, drawing and copying illustrations from an early age, and studied Artistic Design and Education upon leaving school, improving her ability through self-training and practice. She initially taught art and worked in Interior Design before pursuing a career as a professional artist. Her work is inspired by The Impressionists, using bold strokes and bright colours, with her favoured medium being oils and her uplifting paintings are held in private collections and galleries across the UK.
