Original acrylic on canvas painting depicting a view along The River Thames at Westminster in London at dusk, with figures walking alongside the river holding umbrellas in the foreground, and Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament visible beyond. This original painting is presented as a box canvas, and is by the award-winning American artist James Stewart (Contemporary).

 

James Stewart was born in the United States of America, studied at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, The Barnstone Academy, The Fredakis Academy, and The Thiel College, all in Philadelphia, and began working as a full-time professional artist upon finishing his education.  He has won various awards for his works, including a travel prize which enabled him to travel and study in Europe. a Guggenheim that again allowed further travel and study in Europe, and in 2009 he was awarded the Ballinglen Fellowship which saw him travel and work in Ireland. He has exhibited numerous times in the United States as well as in Ireland, and today he lives and works in Western Pennsylvania.
