Original acrylic on board painting, beautifully presented in a bold white gallery frame, depicting a Spanish beach scene, with fishing boats and pleasure boats moored on a beach at low tide.  Created in an impressionistic style, this superb, very accomplished work is by the Spanish artist Helios Gisbert (b.1958 ).

 

Helios Gisbert was born in Alcoy, Spain, and studied at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts. His atmospheric continental scenes, depicting sunny Spanish villages and harbours, are inspired by his local surroundings, and have led to him being considered to be one of the best Spanish artists in his style. He has exhibited widely across Spain and Portugal, and, with more than 38 prestigious awards to his name, is acknowledged as one of the greatest Valencian artists of the twentieth Century.
