Original, rare 1960's vintage print, in its original glazed period frame, depicting the 1928 Bentley 4.5.  This original print is after the original painting 'Black Label Bentley' by the renowned British artist Gerald Coulson (b.1926 ).

 

Gerald Coulson was born in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, he taught himself to draw and paint at an early age. On leaving school, he trained as an aircraft engineer, technical advisor and illustrator, and qualified as a pilot in 1961.  He became a full-time artist in the late 1960’s, painting landscapes, coastal scenes, wildlife, railway, motoring and aviation subjects, with his paintings often being dominated by big skies and the English landscape.  Several of his works were very successfully reproduced in print, ‘Ploughman and the Sea’ being the number one Fine Art Trade Guild print in 1978.  He has exhibited widely.
