  • Fine-detailed, original oil painting on canvas, depicting a Roe Deer peering out from behind a tree, this superb, near-photorealistic, original work is by the listed wildlife artist and illustrator David Miller (b.1966 ).
     
    David Miller was born in Oldham, Lancashire, and studied at Carmarthenshire College of Technology and Art.  He initially worked as a freelance illustrator for the RSPBA, various zoos, Hamlyn Publishing and numerous magazines, before becoming a full-time artist in 1984. Well known for his marine life paintings, much of his childhood was spent fishing, and in his early twenties he progressed from snorkelling in his local rivers, to Scuba diving around the World.  He has exhibited widely, with his paintings featuring in many private and corporate collections, in 2008 he had his first book ‘Beneath the Surface’ published, and in 2014 he produced artwork for a set of 10 stamps for the Royal Mail.
