Craig Letourneau was born in New England in the United States, and lived in a few different places around America before moving to the United Kingdom, and eventually settling in Worcester, England. He was a versatile artist who painted landscapes, portraits and figurative subjects, and was particularly known for his paintings of Worcester and its Cathedral. He was a member of the American Society of Marine Artists and the illustrator and author of books on technique and colour mixing, and opened the Kestrel Gallery and Studio in Sidbury in 2007. He sadly died very suddenly in December 2011 of a heart attack.
