- Large colourful original modern abstract pastel painting, using predominantly green and black colouring by highly-collectable British artist Bruce Tippett (1933-2017).Bruce Tippett was born in Boston, Lincolnshire, and studied at the Leicester College of Art and the Slade School of Art. He was given his first solo show in London in 1958, which led to a French Government Scholarship to work in France where he stayed for four years, before moving to Rome and then in 1968 New York. While in New York he established his reputation, exhibiting regularly at the prestigious Betty Parsons Gallery. His work has been bought by private collectors as well as by major international galleries including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the British Museum, London and the Gallerie Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome.- Signed and dated 2006 by the artist, lower right- Framed, glazed and ready to hang, in a deep moulded ebonised frame- Frame size 74.5cm x 59cm (approx. 29 1/4 inches x 23 1/4 inches)- Both painting and frame are in excellent condition- Excellent investment- Superb centre-piece- Would make a very original gift- All paintings are carefully packaged to prevent damage during shipping- Please contact us for European and Worldwide shipping prices
