  • Original oil painting on canvasboard, beautifully presented in a gallery frame, depicting a young woman playing the flute, this work was created in the 1990's, and comes with its original sales invoice.  Entitled 'Young Flautist', this quirky orinal painting is by the British artist Barbara Neville Shaw (1930-2006).

     
    Barbara Neville Shaw lived in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, and was primarily a self-taught artist, whose career in art came later in life.  She studied at Cambridge Arts School, was represented by Trumpington Gallery, Cambridge, and has works that feature in public and private collections, including the Arts Theatre, Cambridge and Robinson College, Cambridge.
