Andrew Holmes (b.1959 )
Large original oil on canvas painting, beautifully presented in a bold gallery frame, depicting a cherry-topped cupcake, this quirky painting has been beautifully executed by the highly collectable, Modern British Realism artist Andrew Holmes (b.1959 ).
Andrew Holmes was born in Kent, England, and studied at the Faculty of Art and Design in Cornwall, where he gained a Graphic Arts Degree. He initially built a career in London as an illustrator and art director, developing visual ideas and solutions, contributing to advertising, design, tv, film, architecture and digital media projects across the globe. At the same time he was indulging his love of fine art, and the response to his artistic ability led him to pursue this side of his talent more fully. In 2008 he began to divide his time between projects as both a painter and an illustrator, and a year later he exhibited his representational work in the Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual show and has since enjoyed great success, returning to the Mall Gallery with the New English Art Club and the ROI.
